You can taste traditional norwegian food in our restaurant. We choose the daily menu from some of these specialities:
RømmegrøtRømmegrøt is a traditional Norwegian porridge made with sour cream, whole milk, wheat flour, butter, and salt.
Rømmegrøt is thick and sweet and is generally drizzled in butter and sprinkled with sugar and ground cinnamon. Accompanied by assorted dried and cured meats. Festive food, often served on Midsummer Eve. Torsketunger Torsketunger is fried tongues of cod. It is a traditional food of North-Norway, and we servere them with fried onion, carrot salad, potatoes and sour cream. Our tongues are fished in Hamnøy in Lofoten. Saltkjøtt Tradional norwegian food. Salted mutton and lamb slowly cooked, served with kohlrabi puree and potatoes. Elggryte Delicious moose in the cream gravy. One of our most popular dishes. The moose meat we got from Steigen and Sørfold. Reinskav Stew of thinly cut reindeer, bacon and mushrooms served with mashed potatoes and cranberries. Salad og vegetables aside. We getrReindeer meat from Saltfjellet Reinprodukter. Møsbrømlefse One of our local specialities from Salten is "møsbrømlefse"; thin flat potato bread with butter, sugar, sour cream and a sauce made of caramel cheese. It is served warm with cold milk on the side. |
