Fjord trip in a veteran boat culture, fishing and nature

Join one of Salten Veteranbåtlag's (Veteran Boat Society) boat trips and experience Foldfjorden, fishing and storytelling at its best!
We offer three alternative trips – lasting 4, 6 or 8 hours. They all take place on Leirfjorden and Foldfjorden, with the possibility of visiting the Sjunkhatten National Park. Fishing on good local spots is a part of the programme. During the fishing stops there is a possibility to watch the white-tailed eagle hunting for food. Foldfjorden is rich in coalfish, cod and mackerel.
The longest trip includes a visit to Rørstad, an abandoned pearl without any road connection. Once this was an important administrative and religious centre.
Any fish that you catch may be served on board. We serve a traditional dish called "fersk fesk" ("fresh fish"), which comes with "flatbrød" (very thin, crispy bread), sour cream and a selection of fine beverages.
The rest of the catch from the trip will be brought back to Kobbelv Vertshus Inn and cooked for the evening meal. We plan the menu together with you.
